Mundelein Senior Center

The Mundelein Senior Center is a multi-purpose center, operated and funded by the Mundelein Park and Recreation District. It is a center which offers a wide selection of recreation activities and senior services. The Center is located in the Cambridge Country subdivision at 1200 Regent Drive. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and is staffed to provide you with information and referral services at that time. For information call Mary at 847-566-4790.
Membership
Anyone 50 years or older may join the Senior Center. Annual due for Mundelein Park District residents are $7.00 per person and $11.00 per married couple. Annual non-resident fees are $14.00 per individual and $22.00 per married couple. Membership entitles seniors to participate in the daily drop-in programs. A monthly newsletter, the "Chatterbox", is also available to members at the center or it can be mailed to your home for an additional annual fee of $5.00.
Volunteers
The center is always looking for individuals to volunteer to teach a class. If you are interested, stop by the center or call 847-566-4790.
Lake Forest Health Care Coach
The Lake Forest Health Care Coach visits the Senior Center one Thursday of each month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Blood sugar, blood pressure, pulmonary, and cholesterol testing are standard tests every month along with child immunizations. Available to all residents, not just senior citizens. Monthly Happenings
- Ask the Doctor: Every 3rd Wednesday at 10:15 am
- Blood Pressure Check: At 11:15 am on the 3rd Wednesday.
- Dinner Clubs: At a different restaurant each 3rd Tuesday.
- Day Trips: Trips once a month to various attractions. (Museums, luncheons, theatres, sports, etc.)
- Parties: We celebrate Birthdays bi-monthly and host several larger parties throughout the year.
A.C.E.S.
"Active Citizens Exercising Simultaneously"
This workout is taught by Park View Health & Fitness Personal Trainers and there is a $1.00 fee per visit to all Senior Center Members. Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to participate in this exercise class. Warm ups using light easy movements to increase range of motion and toning exercises using resistance tubing for stretching are just some of the exercises we do.
