Prescribed burn held April 1 at Community Park

Safe and Successful Prescribed Burn Held April 1

Kudos to Grounds Maintenance Supervisor Paul Rogus and staff in partnership with Libertyville Township for a safe and successful prescribed burn around Community Park today. This efficient and economical tool manages native areas. It returns nutrients to the soil, inhibits invasive species and promotes plant and animal diversity. This is a first in a series of burns planned for Mundelein parks.

Our Mission: The Mundelein Park & Recreation District is committed to providing diverse

recreation experiences that connect the community through quality programs,

                                                             facilities and open space.
