Freedom Classic—Do it for the Donut!
July 4, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 pm
Dress in red, white, and blue and jump-start your 4th in our 44th Freedom Classic 5K. Blast off down Recreation Drive and travel through scenic Loch Lomond and the Keith Mione Community Park in this professionally chip-timed course. After the race, participants can cool off in our sprinklers and grab a patriotic donut and refreshments to fuel up for the rest of your 4th of July festivities. The first 350 racers will receive a race t-shirt. USATF Certified Course.

Awards: $100 cash award for 1st overall male and female finishers and medals for 1st–3rd place finishers in each age group.
Kids Race
A Free FIRECRACKER 1/2 mile Kids Race (Ages 8 & Under) will begin at approximately 9 am. Race to the finish for firecracker freeze pop and medal. No registration is required.
Runners and walkers can REGISTER ONLINE or at the Mundelein Community Center front desk.
Registration: $40
Pre-registration closes June 28. Registration will be available at the Front Desk of the Dunbar Recreation Center from 6:30-7:45 am race day.
Pre-Packet Pickup, July 1-3: Held at the Mundelein Park & Recreation District, 1401 N Midlothian Rd.
Race Day Packet Pick Up, July 4: Inside the Dunbar Recreation Center.
