Beth Barber – Your Fun-Filled Fitness Guide!
Hey there! I’m Beth Barber, and for over 18 years, I’ve been lighting up exercise classes with energy and joy! An amazing instructor inspired me to snag my first certification, and I’m so glad she did— it launched me into this incredible journey!
For 35 years, I was a high school teacher of Theatre and English, pouring my heart into education. Beyond the fitness studio, I direct Disney musicals for children with special needs, lead improvisation with seniors to keep those minds razor-sharp, and cherish every moment with our beautiful 3-year-old grandchild.
Teaching is my passion—whether I’m leading or subbing—and I love offering options for all levels to make every class a blast!
My Friday morning 7:30 AM class is a total game-changer—think a surge of cardio, a core-focused power-up, and awesome weight work for a fantastic all-around workout! Join me and feel the electrifying charge of fitness! You’ll be hooked in no time!

I kicked off with a Pilates certification, then became an ACE-certified Group Ex instructor, and added Foam Rolling, Barre, Piloxing, and Active Aging certs to my toolkit.
Tracey Boone – Your Relatable Fitness Trailblazer!
Hey, fitness explorers! I’m Tracey Boone, and unlike most fitness pros, I won’t dazzle you with a trophy case of athletic wins. Picture me as the wheezy kid, always picked last for kickball—yep, that was me! As a young adult, life was a whirlwind—cross-country moves, new jobs, little kids—and I had every excuse to sideline myself. I’d dabble in running or try a yoga class, but nothing stuck… until thirteen years ago, when an early morning group exercise class flipped the script and truly changed my life! I discovered balance, confidence, and the joy of sweating it out with new friends. With patient teachers cheering me on, I tackled the impossible—kickboxing, obstacle courses, weightlifting, CrossFit, and distance running!
As someone who found fitness later in life, I’m living proof it’s never too late to start. I’m fired up by inspiring you to see fitness not as a punishment, but as a fantastic path to gain confidence, forge friendships, and age with strength and grace. Whether you’re starting, restarting, or powering forward on your fitness journey, my “Momentum” functional fitness classes are your launchpad! We’ll fire up multiple muscle groups with dumbbells and bodyweight moves to boost strength, coordination, and balance.

I am a personal trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and have been teaching fitness classes for seven years, including the last three at the Mundelein Community Center. I specialize in strength training, functional fitness, high intensity interval training, and bootcamps. I also hold a BS in Biology, an MBA, and have worked in healthcare and related fields for 35+ years.
Diane Capasso – Your Fitness & Fun Champion!
Hello, fitness family! I’m Diane Capasso, and for 35 incredible years, I’ve poured my heart into being a fitness instructor, letting my passion light up every class I lead. My fitness journey began as a teen, born out of necessity to tackle serious health challenges. Embracing lifestyle changes and healthy paths turned those obstacles into triumphs, and I feel so lucky to share the rewards of my training and experiences with all of you at every turn!
As your instructor, my mission is to ignite a sharp awareness of body movement, flexibility, balance, and strength. I’m all about sparking fun and laughter, creating a safe, non-intimidating space where we can let loose and not take ourselves too seriously. Known for offering options in every class, I welcome everyone—no matter your fitness level! Fitness isn’t a burden; it’s a blast! Let’s build healthy habits for life, boost self-confidence, get fit, and make friends along the way.
When I’m not in the studio, I’m cherishing time with my children and grandchildren. My husband and I are adventure-seekers, aiming to walk the world (ha-ha)! I’m also an artist, running Little Strokes of Genius, my children’s art program, for 30 years. For over 20 years, I’ve been strumming the harp—still practicing, practicing, and maybe one day I’ll play for an audience! Sindy A. Duent-Poggy – YOUR INSPIRING FITNESS GUIDE!
Hello, fitness family! I’m Sindy A. Duent-Poggy, a proud Puerto Rican, bilingual in English and Spanish, married with a son and daughter. My fitness journey began as a stay-at-home mom, feeling drained, low on energy, and struggling with my health. Joining a gym and a Facebook accountability group sparked a transformation within me—I felt alive, energized, stronger, and more confident! That fire inspired me to help others feel the same: happier, stronger, healthier, and brimming with confidence. I dove into teaching group fitness classes in 2014, and I found my true calling!
In 2022, after eight years of teaching, I faced a breast cancer diagnosis. With the support of my family and the strength I built through fitness, I became a proud cancer survivor. Three years later, I’m teaching stronger than ever, cherishing every moment and feeling healthier and more confident than before. Fitness was my lifeline, and I’m here to share that power with you!
I’ve led a variety of classes over the years—Strength Training, Cardio, HIIT, Aqua Fitness, Bootcamp, and Piloxing—each designed to welcome all levels. Join me in a group fitness class, and let’s embark on your journey together, whether it’s boosting your health, building strength, or enhancing endurance. Hey there, fitness seekers! I’m Rochelle Jurasz, and to me, fitness is a vibrant dance of mind, body, and spirit—nurturing all three makes us whole!
Being a group fitness instructor lights up my life, keeping me accountable and feeding my soul like the ultimate therapy. I’ve always been fired up about fitness, staying active my whole life, from recreational fun to competitive thrills. For years, I was a student and participant in the very classes I now lead, stepping into instructing later in life after a game-changing “AHA!” moment. My journey began as a Tae Kwon Do Instructor, and then I leaped into group fitness to share even more energy with you!
As a self-proclaimed introvert, every class I teach is my bold challenge to step up and shine. I pour my heart into making each session exciting, engaging, fun, and totally different—welcoming all fitness levels with open arms! Connecting with every person who walks through the door is my passion. I’m here to make you feel at ease, wipe away any apprehension or fear—because you’ve already done the hard part: you showed up! Steve Moylan – Your Dance Fitness Dynamo!
Hi, fitness friends! I’m Steve Moylan, your Zumba Instructor here to shake up your workout routine! My fitness journey kicked off on the wrestling mats of high school and college, where I built grit and strength. After graduating, I leveled up, earning a black belt in Judo and mastering discipline in motion. For years, I dove into group exercise classes, loving every second, until I decided to become a Yoga Teacher, completing my 200-hour training in sunny Santa Barbara, California.
Then, in 2009, a New Year’s resolution led me to a Zumba class—and I was hooked! Two months later, I jumped into Instructor training, and I’ve never looked back. Now, I bring the party to you with Zumba, Zumba Gold, and Zumba Toning! You may see me leading other classes too as I sub for nearly every class (except Cycle and Aqua) to keep the energy flowing! I hand-pick music to make every session a blast, and I love seeing you connect, laugh, and dance for the social vibe as much as the sweat.

Hello, fellow fitness warriors! I’m Shari Rivi, and I’m thrilled to be your guide on this sweat-tastic journey!
For the past 7 years, I’ve been igniting energy and building strength at MPRD, leading Muscle Conditioning, Aquafit, and Cycle classes with passion and purpose. Before that, I honed my skills at Foglia YMCA as a Fitness Attendant, jumping in to sub for all kinds of classes and spreading the workout love wherever I went.
I LIVE for fitness—and my mission? To spark that same fire in YOU! Nothing fuels me more than watching you discover your own love for movement and crush your goals. In my Morning Momentum and functional fitness classes, we’ll mix it up with an arsenal of fun equipment—weights, bands, medicine balls, BOSU balls, stability balls, benches, and more—to keep your body guessing and your energy soaring.

My experience includes teaching a variety of classes such as Strength, Pilates, Aqua, Indoor Cycling, Balance and Light Cardio—each designed to meet you where you are and help you feel stronger, healthier, and more energized.

Hi, I’m Carol Specht, and after over 15 years of teaching group fitness, I still buzz with excitement every time I step in front of a class! I’ve always believed fitness should be a blast—fun, empowering, and something you genuinely love. What began as my personal quest to stay active ignited a passion for crafting motivating, joy-filled workouts that bring us all together!
My favorite formats to lead? Zumba, Zumba Gold, HIIT, and Muscle Conditioning! Whether we’re dancing to hot beats, powering up with resistance training, or crushing an energizing interval set, my classes burst with high energy, fun, and options for all fitness levels. You’ll come for the workout, but stay for the killer music, the laughs, and the tight-knit community vibe. My goal? Get you sweating, smiling, having fun, and walking out feeling better than when you arrived!

Lisa Sullivan – Your Dynamic Fitness Trailblazer!
Lisa started her fitness career back in 2003 working at the Grayslake YMCA in customer service. From there she worked the fitness floor and became certified in Group Exercise and Personal Training.
She has been instructing since 2007 and became a certified trainer in 2009
Lisa has always been involved in sports playing softball, skiing, tennis, and competing in triathlons.
She leads youth sports classes and is a sports camp director in the summer.
Lisa believes that exercise not only changes your body. It changes your mind, your attitude, and your mood.
