PGA Hope Event, September 17-October 15, 2020
The Illinois PGA Foundation teamed up with the Mundelein Park & Recreation District, RevelationGolf, AllenForce, and Pine Meadow Golf Club to bring the PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) golf training program to area veterans at Pine Meadow Golf Club in Mundelein. Twenty veterans were enrolled in the program that met once a week for five weeks on the range at Pine Meadow Golf Club. It was taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. The program introduced the game to these veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
PGA HOPE is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America and is administered locally by the Illinois PGA Foundation with Illinois PGA Professionals serving as instructors. The program is free to veterans.
