Today was a special morning as we were able to take part in Sgt. Christopher DeWitt’s homecoming reunion with his children, Gemma and Colton. Sgt. DeWitt came into summer camp dressed as Leroy the Lobster. The campers thought they were getting tips on water safety, but when Sgt. DeWitt removed the head of the Leroy costume, the reveal was priceless! Then it was off to Mundelein Community Center gym to see Colton and the children at Big & Little. Gemma and Colton were so surprised and happy to see their dad. It was so heartwarming. Staff feels so lucky to be part of this family’s homecoming!
